MCCAC MEETING MINUTES
December 2, 2009
St. Louis CC – Meramec
Attendance: Jay Mehrhoff-East Central, Gene Bess-Three Rivers, Johnna Kinney-Florissant Valley, Chris Gober-St. Charles, Tim Gray-Mineral Area, Mike Moore-Forest Park, Bob Bottger . Guests. Mike Fitzgerald and Lu Boseler-Shawnee.
1. Approval of Minutes from August 13, 2009. Motion-Mitchell, Second-Kinney. Approved.
2. Approval of Treasurer’s Report: $4832.86. FV, Meramec and St. Charles need to pay dues.
3. Sport Committees:
a. Baseball - GSL will be given a one year contract. $85/7 and $100/9.
b. Men’s & Women’s Basketball – Motion-Kinney, Second-Mitchell. Approved. A conference schedule will be set with corresponding dates and will be reviewed at the 2/17 meeting at Jefferson College.
c. Men’s & Women’s Soccer – Schedules distributed.
d. Volleyball – The conference finale will be rotated. It is at East Central in ’10. A new rotation will be drawn at the spring meeting.
e. Softball – Conference schedule distributed. Discussion asked for concerning switching dates to Tuesday and Thursdays.
4. Shawnee: Vote taken to accept Shawnee into the conference. Approved 5-1-1.
5. Conference Awards: Distributed by Mitchell.
6. Service Awards: Mike Fitzgerald will take over this responsibility in the Spring.
7. Academic All Conference: Presented by Mike Moore. Accepted as amended.
8. NATYCAA: Discussion. Membership agreed to continue to pay dues.
9. Sportsmanship Awards:
a. Volleyball – Florissant Valley
b. Men’s Soccer – St. Charles
c. Women’s Soccer – Forest Park
10. Adjourned: Motion-Moore, Second-Kinney. Approved.

Attendance: Jay Mehrhoff-East Central, Chris Gober-St. Charles, Mike Moore-Forest Park, Gene Bess-Three Rivers, Tim Gray-Mineral Area, Doug Stotler-Jefferson, Peg Mitchell-Lewis & Clark, Johnna Kinney-Florissant Valley, Bob Bottger-Meramec. Guests Dr. Peterson-Shawnee, Michael Fitzgerald-Shawnee.
1. Approval of Minutes from 4/29/09: Motion-Bess, Second-Mitchell. Passed
2. Approval of Treasurer’s Report: $6,950.14 balance. Motion-Bottger, Second-Gray. Passed. Invoices for dues distributed.
3. Stotler to be AD liaison for men’s and women’s basketball. Kinney to be AD liaison for volleyball. Motion- Bottger, Second-Gray. Passed.
4. Sport Committee Reports:
a. Volleyball-need sport code to be written.
b. Baseball-recommendation concerning GSL or MUA.
c. Women’s Basketball-8 panel ball. Rawlings Franchise.
d. Men’s Soccer-Second game conference.
e. Women’s Soccer-Conference sport this year. Second game conference.
5. Constitution and By Laws: Ads asked to review for December meeting.
6. Web Site: Mehrhoff to edit site.
7. Spring Sports Awards: Distributed.
8. All Sports Award: Lewis & Clark winner for 08/09.
9. Sportsmanship Award: Send results to Mehrhoff.
10. Shawnee Proposal: Proposal by Shawnee for Conference membership. Decision to be made at December meeting.
11. Meeting Dates:
a. Winter-December 2 at Meramec. 10:00
b. Spring-April 28 at Rosener’s-Park Hills. 10:00

1. Approval of Minutes from 12/3/08: Motion –Bess, Second-Gray. Passed
2. Approval of Treasurer’s Report: $8915.53. Motion-Gray, Second-Moore. Passed
3. All Sports Award Information: Chris will get material to Doug regarding criteria and form.
4. Sport Committee Reports:
a. Baseball: GSL contract ends spring 09. Diamond ball required for competition.
b. Softball: Report summary given for past season.
c. Men’s Basketball Division I: Only Meramec and Forest Park evaluated officials.
d. Men’s Basketball Division II: NJCAA going to 16 team tournament.
e. Women’s Basketball: 8 panel ball required.
f. Men’s Soccer: St. Charles to enter in fall of 2009.
g. Women’s Soccer: St. Charles will compete in 2009 making SCW a conference sport.
h. Volleyball: Johnna Kinney to be AD liaison.
5. Academic All Conference Proposal: Mike Moore brought forth a proposal for discussion. Proposal to be voted upon at Fall meeting.
6. Winter Sports Awards: Doug Stotler distributed awards.
7. Winter Sportsmanship Awards: Men’s basketball – Forest Park. Women’s basketball-Lewis & Clark.
8. Meeting dates: August 14, 6:00 at Frederick’s. December 2 , 10:00 at Meramec. April 28, 10:00 at Rosener’s.
9. Justification of Athletic Programs: Discussion.
10. Award: JoEllen Stringer of Jefferson recognized with a plaque for her contributions to the conference as a volleyball coach and administrator.
11. Adjourn: Motion-Stotler, Second-Bess. Passed.
